Recognizing that the passage of Proposition 203 in 2011 placed lawyers in an ethical dilemma – it is not ethical to counsel clients on how to violate the law – the Arizona State Bar issued Ethics Opinion 11-01 establishing the parameters to which all Arizona lawyers must adhere, when counseling cannabis clients.
